Returns & Refunds Policy - Rooted in Tomorrow LTD

Returns & Refunds Policy

Last updated: 6 September 2026

At Rooted In Tomorrow Ltd, we want you to be happy with your purchase. We source products from a range of carefully selected suppliers, and some products may be dispatched directly by our fulfilment partners.

This policy explains your rights when purchasing from our website and how to request a return, cancellation, replacement or refund.

Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by this policy.

1. Your Right to Cancel an Online Order

If you are a consumer purchasing goods online, you normally have the legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, without having to give a reason.

After notifying us that you wish to cancel, you normally have a further 14 days to return the goods.

This statutory cancellation right applies regardless of any shorter return period offered by a supplier.

Some products are excluded from the statutory right to cancel, as explained below.

2. How to Request a Return or Cancellation

To request a return or cancel an eligible order, please contact us:

Email: info@rootedintomorrow.co.uk
Telephone: 07553 748058

Please provide:

  • Your full name
  • Order number
  • Product name
  • Reason for contacting us, where applicable
  • Details of whether you are requesting a cancellation, return, replacement or refund

We will provide you with the appropriate return instructions.

Depending on the product and fulfilment arrangement, you may be asked to return the product to Rooted In Tomorrow Ltd, our fulfilment partner or another designated return address.

Please do not send an item to a supplier or other address until we have provided return instructions.

3. Condition of Returned Goods

If you are exercising your statutory right to cancel because you have changed your mind, you may handle the goods only to the extent necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, in the same way that you would reasonably be able to do in a shop.

You may be responsible for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect the goods.

Where appropriate, products should be returned with their original packaging and accessories.

4. Return Postage

Where you cancel an order because you have changed your mind, you will normally be responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods, provided we informed you of this responsibility before you placed the order.

We will not charge you return postage where the item is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described, or where applicable law requires us to cover the cost.

5. Refunds for Cancelled Orders

Where you validly exercise your statutory right to cancel, we will refund the payments we are required to refund, including the cost of standard delivery.

If you selected a more expensive delivery service, we are generally only required to refund the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option available.

Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless you have agreed otherwise.

We will normally issue the refund without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the relevant statutory refund deadline has been triggered, including receipt of the returned goods or appropriate evidence that they have been sent back, as applicable.

6. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your item arrives:

  • Damaged
  • Defective or faulty
  • Incorrect
  • Not as described
  • Missing parts or accessories

please contact us as soon as reasonably possible at:

info@rootedintomorrow.co.uk
07553 748058

Please provide your order number and, where possible, photographs showing the issue.

We will assess the problem and work with you to provide an appropriate remedy.

Depending on the circumstances and your legal rights, this may include a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.

We remain responsible for your statutory consumer rights even where a product is supplied or fulfilled by one of our suppliers or fulfilment partners.

7. Products Excluded from the Right to Cancel

Certain products may be excluded from the statutory cancellation right where an applicable legal exemption applies.

Examples may include:

  • Goods that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly
  • Bespoke or personalised goods
  • Certain sealed goods which are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed
  • Certain other products specifically excluded by applicable consumer legislation

Where a statutory exemption applies, this will be communicated clearly before purchase where required.

A supplier's own return policy does not, by itself, remove rights that Rooted In Tomorrow customers have under UK consumer law.

8. Sale and Promotional Items

Sale, discounted and promotional products remain subject to the same statutory consumer rights as full-price products.

A product being sold at a reduced price does not, by itself, remove your legal rights.

9. Exchanges

Where appropriate, we may offer an exchange for an alternative product.

However, exchanges are not a substitute for statutory rights. Where you have a legal right to a refund, repair, replacement or other remedy, we will honour that right.

10. Order Cancellation Before Dispatch

If you wish to cancel an order shortly after placing it, please contact us immediately at:

info@rootedintomorrow.co.uk
07553 748058

We will make reasonable efforts to stop the order before it is dispatched.

However, if the order has already been processed or dispatched, you may still have statutory cancellation rights where applicable. We will provide you with the appropriate return instructions.

11. Supplier and Fulfilment Partners

Rooted In Tomorrow Ltd works with a range of suppliers and fulfilment partners.

A supplier may have its own internal procedures concerning returns, replacements and damaged goods. We may use those procedures to process your request efficiently.

However, our arrangements with suppliers do not reduce or remove your statutory rights as a consumer when purchasing from Rooted In Tomorrow Ltd.

Where a supplier's policy provides greater rights than those required by law, we may apply those additional rights where appropriate.

12. Late or Missing Refunds

If you believe a refund is overdue, please contact us at:

info@rootedintomorrow.co.uk

Please include your order number and details of the refund.

We will investigate the matter and, where necessary, liaise with the relevant payment provider or fulfilment partner.
